Putting the wince into Winc – life and death (and phone chargers)
2017 wouldn’t be complete without Dr Mumbo having just one more chance to watch a corporate web series.
We’ve had some strong offerings this year demonstrating just what happens when corporate teams get their hands on the video edit suite – from the Department of Finance, Aus Post and the Western Australia Police Force – but Dr Mumbo was relieved to find it’s not over – Winc Australia has thrown its hat in the ring with ‘Jeanette: Office Detective’. Strap in. There’s a mystery to solve.
The episode has everything all fantastic true crime dramas have: office supplies, “mouse” traps, wet wipes and death.
Just another day at the office.
Dr Mumbo can’t wait to see what intrigue, drama and mystery episode two will bring.
I think this one’s adorably self-aware of its cheesiness. In the “so bad it’s good” category, unlike the Finance or AusPost ones which were just pure cringe.

Finance one is still the worst – a good idea executed poorly. This one is a poor idea executed well.

Thanks for picking up the error, AM and former warc-er. These things happen when Dr Mumbo is suffering from an excess of Christmas festivities. We’ve fixed the error.

Agree. It’s quite well done.

It’s just shit. Not really terrible shit like the others. Just plain old shit.

You’ve proven to be a group of mean-spirited arseholes. Merry Christmas team Tim.

Thanks for the note “Once again” and you’re of course entitled to that view. Although I can’t help but notice that somebody from this IP address has previously written on this site of somebody’s ad: “Forced writing, terrible ad even without offending people. Really poorly done and not funny.” which does seem a tad mean spirited also…
Let’s all try to be full of Christmas cheer instead for the next 11 days…
Cheers,
Tim – Mumbrella
Oh ‘Once again’ – for your sake I do hope that the Elf on the shelf wasn’t in the same room as you when you typed that. Ho ho ho!!
Merry Christmas Dr Mumbo!
