Linkd Tourism marketing director departs after three years

Ben Urquhart, marketing director at Linkd Tourism, has announced his departure after nearly three years with the firm.

During his time with the agency, he worked across creative marketing campaigns, strategic partnerships, content marketing, and PR.

He leveraged innovative advertising techniques, such as talent and brand partnerships, to maximise ROI, according to his Linkedin, including collaborations with personalities like Melissa Leong and Australian Olympians, plus brands such as Mountain Designs and Toby’s Estate Coffee.

He took to Linkedin this week to share his news.

“The whole time being able to work with an amazing mix of destinations from across the globe – from Japanese prefectures to USA states plus many projects with the wonderful team at the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

“The variety kept things interesting: broadcast campaigns, celebrity partnerships, consumer events, brand collaborations, and honestly, too many content partnerships to count. Each project was a reminder that great results-driven marketing happens when you match authentic stories with solid strategy & insights with a smart, quick-witted team,” he wrote.

“One of the biggest wins? Achieving an achingly good work-life balance. Kylee Kay has built something special at Linkd – an agency where you don’t have to choose between doing great work and having the life you want. You could not ask for a more accommodating and considerate boss.”

In his post, Urquhart also thanked the rest of the Linkd Tourism team, adding: “Working alongside a motivated team every day made even the toughest projects manageable. Their creativity and energy elevated everything. Thank you.”

Prior to joining Linkd Tourism in 2022, Urquhart held various roles at major tourism brands and agencies, including Tourism New Zealand, Tourism Central Australia, and GTI agency.

Linkd Tourism is an Australian-based travel PR and marketing representation firm.
