Lululemon brand manager exits after 7 years

Izabela Taseski, brand manager at lululemon Australia and New Zealand, will depart the activewear brand after seven years.

Sharing the news in a post to LinkedIn this week, Taseski said she would be looking for a part-time role that would allow her to spend more time with her two young boys.

“As a mum to two young boys, having the ability to work part time before they get too old and bored with me, is personally important,” she wrote.

“Part time doesn’t mean I am not ambitious or dedicated to my career or job any longer, in fact, the opposite. Since, I won’t feel so guilty when I am at work, I will be able to enjoy working 3 days. And, because I will have a focus outside of my family, I will be a better mum.”

Taseski first joined lululemon ANZ in 2016 in brand and partnerships. Her return to the Australian market followed a six-year stint in the UK, where she held roles in marketing and sponsorships at Barclays and Havas Sports & Entertainment.

Promoted to the brand manager role in 2021, Taseski said to call her time with the retail brand an adventure “would be an understatement”.

“I have experienced, felt, achieved, failed and learnt so much. Thank you to everyone – from internal colleagues to agencies and other partners – who have contributed to my incredible time.”

Lululemon declined to comment.

Late last year Zenith Media was appointed to handle digital media for lululemon, joining the activewear brand’s agency roster alongside its recently appointed above-the-line media agency, Murmur Group.
