Maurice Blackburn appoints Half Dome to manage all paid digital media

Maurice Blackburn Lawyers has appointed independent digital agency Half Dome to manage its SEM (search engine marketing) account following a competitive four-way pitch.

Half Dome partnered with Consumedia to win the wider account in April 2018, and will now handle all planning and buying of the law firm’s paid media.

According to Half Dome general manager of marketing and communications, Toni Wilson, Maurice Blackburn were “seeking an agency which could bring a fresh approach to our SEM strategy and offer a high level of analysis to continue to build our digital presence.”

The Maurice Blackburn account will be led by Half Dome’s head of search and social, Rhett Mitchelhill.

“[There is a] huge upside in consolidating their paid media under one roof, as it allows for better cross-channel optimisation, reporting, and proper integration of tech platforms,” Mitchelhill said.

This month, the independent agency also appointed Jackie King to the role of head of client service. King joins from Carat, where she was the digital director on the Disney account, to which Tom Andrews has since been appointed.

“I’m very excited to be joining Half Dome and to be working with such brilliant individuals,” King said.

“My passion for client service and operations will be best placed for the exciting challenges ahead, driving half dome into the next phase of growth.”
