MediaCom nabs OMD’s Mike Worden, elevates Adele Burke

GroupM agency MediaCom has appointed OMD’s Mike Worden as Sydney managing director, and promoted Adele Burke to general manager.

Worden has been head of McDonald’s at OMD Australia since July 2019. Prior to that he was at UM, where he was group business director across Johnson & Johnson, Lego, MLA and AMP.

Reporting to MediaCom AUNZ CEO, Yaron Farizon, Worden is tasked with managing the agency’s capabilities and shaping MediaCom’s client leadership. Worden will also be responsible for the ongoing development of MediaCom’s team in Sydney and integrating new ways of working.

Burke began her journey with MediaCom 11 years ago and has held an array of key leadership roles within the business, most recently as client partner responsible for some of the agency’s biggest accounts including KFC, Richemont, and Hasbro.

Farizon said of the appointments: “We have created a true partnership between Adele and Mike; a partnership that is strategic, driven, and obsessed with client growth. These key appointments follow several recent key hires ramping up the agency’s specialist capabilities, such as Karleitia Bodlovic as director of e-commerce, Sophie Price as chief strategy officer, Prajat Khare as managing director data led planning and systems Intelligence and Anthony Sciacca as head of marketplace, Sydney.
