Nichola Patterson departs PR Edge to become Access PR CEO

Nichola Patterson, national managing director of public relations agency PR Edge has departed to take up the role of CEO at Access PR, Mumbrella can reveal.

Patterson took on the role at PR Edge after her own company Propeller PR, was acquired by Clemenger Group in December last year.

Patterson and Kerekes

Access PR’s current CEO Andrea Kerekes is set to move to NYC to work with founder of NYC agency DiGennaro Communications (DGC) Samantha DiGennaro as executive vice president and managing director.

Access PR and DGC will strengthen their joint venture by rebranding Access PR to Access-dgc from July 1, following Kerekes’ move to NYC.

DGC founder and CEO, DiGennaro, said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for both agencies to collaborate and pool resources, skill sets and ideas to create an accountable and innovative micro-network that puts clients’ results first and foremost.”

Kereks said in a statement: “To know Nic is to love Nic, but more importantly, she brings a new level of creativity and big-picture, strategic thinking to the business.”

“On the cusp of our 10th birthday we started to think about what the next 10 years could look like for the business and this is a truly exciting path to create – especially with someone who has been a friend and colleague for many years and the expanded resources of DGC.”

While at Propellor, Patterson worked on clients such as Sensis, Qantas, White Pages, BP, RSPCA, CUB and iSelect.

It is unclear who will be replacing her at PR Edge.

Access clients include Sydney Airport, Tourism Northern Territory, Barangaroo Delivery Authority, Art Gallery of NSW, and The Star.
