Saturday saw Seven pull in 22.2%, with Nine in third with 10.9% behind the ABC with 13.8%, and Ten had 10.1% according to OzTam overnight metro ratings.

With 990,000 viewers Seven News at 6pm was the biggest show of the night, with Nine lagging on 859,000 viewers.

Ten’s best performer was the Wallabies v England in the third rugby union test. However England’s 2-0 lead in the three match series saw viewers turn off in droves from last week’s 556,000, with just 485,000 metro viewers watching England clinch the whitewash in a thriller.

Seven’s Saturday night football managed 419,000 viewers in Melbourne and Adelaide on the main channel, with Getaway on Nine managing 421,000 viewers, its best non-news show.

Nine claimed the night thanks in large part to its 36% audience share for Origin II on Wednesday night, beating Seven with 21% to 18.9%.
