Nine’s MAFS finale draws 1.207m metro on FTA, down from previous years

Nine’s finale of Married At First Sight (MAFS) last night on free-to-air television drew in 1.207 million metro viewers, down from 2021’s 1.398 million metro viewers, 2020’s 1.478 million metro viewers and 2019’s 1.968 million metro viewers.

The episode topped all programming and all three key demographics (16 to 39, 18 to 49 and 25 to 54) last night.

It was also the finale of Ten’s Survivor, with the winner announcement drawing in 631,000 metro viewers and the episode drawing in 551,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 28 March, last week’s Monday episode of MAFS had 1.967 million total TV viewers, including 493,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 42%. The episode with the highest uplift was La Brea, also on Nine, with an uplift of 49% for 627,00 total TV viewers and 96,000 BVOD viewers.

In entertainment, after MAFS, came Nine’s Underbelly: Vanishing Act – Part 2 with 745,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s The Chase followed with 571,000 metro viewers.

Overall in programming, Seven News followed MAFS with 1.043 million metro viewers, then Seven News at 6.30 with 988,000 metro viewers.

Nine News 6.30 had 958,000 metro viewers, Nine News had 905,000 metro viewers and Nine’s A Current Affair had 816,000 metro viewers.

ABC News followed with 668,000 metro viewers.

In terms of network share, Nine topped with 37.7%, then Seven with 20.6%. Ten was next with 19.8%.
