Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel head back across the ditch to broadcast live in NZ

Nova’s drive show Kate, Tim and Joel is heading to New Zeland again, launching a one-week broadcast special later this month.

The show has partnered with Tourism New Zeland, the national tourism body who has also facilitated their trip to the country in May last year. That was also their first overseas trip since Joel Creasey replaced Marty Sheargold on the team.

Kate Ritchie and Tim Blackwell have also previously broadcast from Las Vegas in 2016 and the UK in 2018.

The drive show is one of the winners in the latest GFK radio rating, taking the drive crown in Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.

The special broadcast marks New Zealand’s invitation to Australians to visit across the ditch, showcasing the best Wellington has to offer this time, including a helicopter trip over to Marlborough Sounds for lunch at the Bay of Many Coves.

The hosts are also offering their listeners the chance to win a trip to New Zealand themselves, every day while the special broadcast is on air between 13 and 17 June.

On the trip, the trio said: “Ever since we went to Auckland we’ve been dreaming of going to Wellington! We’re heading there Monday for a week of shows and it’s going to be huge!”
