Oz Design campaign positions staff as furniture wizards

Furniture design company Oz Design has repositioned with a new campaign created by the agency Traffic which invites consumers to “Ask the wizards of Oz”.

The campaign includes TV, magazines, radio and online, and features the company’s staff and furniture makers. It is designed to promote the expertise of the staff as a means of persuading consumers to come into the store rather than opt for an online purchase.

Oz will also be dressing the set for The Circle on Ten as part of a sponsorship deal.

Trish Osborne, national marketing manager of Oz Design Furniture, said: “Our people make our business unique. We have a team of passionate individuals who are experts in their field – they deliver quality furniture that’s designed for the Australian way of life. The concept that Traffic has created works perfectly with our brand, as our people are talented Wizards and that is reflected in the design and quality of our furniture.”

Point of sale support will include cutouts of the staff included in the Wizards campaign, information leaflets, and the new jingle will be playingl.

Andrew Begg, CEO of Traffic said, “Oz Design is a brand which has huge potential. The  campaign is designed to improve brand awareness, cut through the sameness the industry is currently experiencing and entice people in store to get good advice and see just how good their product is.”

The print campaign will include full pages in  magazines including Better Homes & Gardens, Home Beautiful, and Real Living, together with press in The Age, The Daily Telegraph, The Courier Mail and Good Weekend.
