Paper + Spark appointed PR partner for pharmaceutical company

Indie agency, Paper + Spark, has been selected as the PR partner for an upcoming campaign by a leading pharmaceutical company following a competitive pitch process, Mumbrella can reveal.

The Sydney-born group will take on PR duties for iNova Pharmaceuticals’ photoageing awareness campaign, having already another highly successful campaign for the company 18 months ago.

The new campaign “aims to educate the public about photoageing – the premature ageing of skin due to sun exposure – emphasising early recognition, prevention, and treatment options beyond cosmetic concerns”.

“We’re excited to further strengthen our partnership with iNova through this critical PR initiative,” Paper + Spark director of growth and brand, Paul Everson, said.

“Our previous work together in the areas of sun damage and obesity has demonstrated the power of disease awareness campaigns and patient engagement. This new project allows us to build on our success and drive meaningful awareness around photoageing, with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of Australians.”

Darren Woodhouse, iNova’s marketing manager, prescription, said Paper + Spark’s strategic expertise was a key factor in the appointment.

“We’ve been consistently impressed with Paul and the team at Paper + Spark. Their creative thinking, insights, and deep understanding of our business challenges have been exceptional,” Woodhouse said.

“We wanted to explore our options with a competitive pitch—and Paper + Spark’s nuanced strategy stood out. Their modern, multi-layered approach aligned perfectly with our brief, and we’re excited to see this important campaign come to life.”

The collaboration will mark iNova’s first venture into PR within the dermatology category.

The campaign is expected to go live this month.
