Pauline pics still good Google fare for News Ltd
The Sunday Telegraph’s fake Pauline Hanson photos may have produced the most humiliating moment of 2009 for News Ltd, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be part of the company’s search strategy, Dr Mumbo notes.
Type “Pauline Hanson” into Google and what pops up? A paid link urging readers: “Get the latest News on the Pauline Hanson nude pictures online now!” And what does it link to? News.com.au of course.
Wow! It will be interesting how long the ad stays live. Perhaps it is meeting it’s ROI targets?

Wasn’t it a News employee/editor who said “Google devalues everything it touches,”
And ”There is no doubt that certain websites are best described as parasites or tech tapeworms in the intestines of the internet.”
Yet the company is using SEM to drive traffic to another one of its quality stories
Poof. All gone now. All it takes is one little blog post.
