Publicis Queensland promotes Jane Young to general manager

Publicis Queensland has promoted its client services director, Jane Young, to the role of general manager.

Young’s promotion is an extension of PublicisQ’s new leadership structure which was implemented in April last year to focus on an integrated strategy and creative thinking.

PublicisQ’s new general manager announcement comes weeks after the agency won the obesity campaign for Queensland Health.

Young joined the agency in August last year as a client services director after departing Ogilvy as its general manager.

“I am proud to be part of an agency that values the perspectives of female leadership and is truly passionate about mentoring our young people to achieve their potential. My main focus will continue to be on our people and further developing an environment in which they can thrive, while I will also maintain a very hands-on approach with our clients,” Young said in a statement.

Simone Waugh, managing director at PublicisQ, added: “Jane has brought to Publicis her experience in re-engineering processes and creating a culture where people and creativity come first.

“The agency has developed into a fully integrated strategy, creative, digital and production business and Jane is central to how we work with our clients in an open and collaborative way.”
