Pulse Communications founder Allen moves to global Ogilvy PR role

Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, has drafted Pulse Communications founder and MD Samantha Allen to the role of managing director of the agency’s global consumer marketing practice. 

Allen will relocate to New York and report directly to Christopher Graves, Ogilvy PR chief executive officer. She replaces Barby Siegel who has left the group. Allen’s appointment will be effective July 1.

She originally founded Pulse Communications as a consumer PR agency in Australia, and it is now part of the Ogilvy PR network. Its client base includes LG Electronics, Tourism Australia, Fosters CUB, Rolls Royce, Ford and Unilever.

Prior to Pulse, Allen worked in various agency roles in London and San Francisco. She also founded Chocolate Communications, a full-service PR consultancy with clients including Ben & Jerry’s and Diageo.

Pulse is currently recruiting for Allen’s replacement.

Ogilvy PR Australia is a joint venture between Ogilvy PR Worldwide and STW Group.
