Rock Posters launches Melbourne OOH COVID-19 vaccination campaign

Poster company Rock Posters, along with other Melbourne businesses, has launched a vaccination campaign to encourage Melburnians to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

In February 2021, Rock Posters hired David Cross as its national sales director.

The announcement:

Rock Posters, Australia’s largest poster company, alongside Melbourne’s leading business and entertainment companies have today launched the Mighty V Campaign, to encourage Victorians to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and in turn support the reopening of this great city, its venues, and live events.

The month-long campaign will be visible across Melbourne using sites donated by the Rock Posters and Shout Out Loud networks. The aim of the campaign is to give a nudge to those who may be hesitant or those who think they are not at risk and to remind those who haven’t yet made booking, to make one. The simple, creative concept, reminiscent of the Victorian football jumper, will feature in sizes ranging from posters to billboards and will be one of the largest outdoor campaigns undertaken in recent times.

“For 35 years, Rock Posters has been privileged to work with so many passionate artists, athletes, comedians, brands and beyond” said Marcus Seal, General Manager of Rock Posters, “We know we are not alone in the belief that the more we vaccinate, the safer we become as a community, which allows us get out and enjoy the return of live entertainment and sport. I am so proud we have received such comprehensive support from our many sponsors. Each has donated to Support Act, they are the ones who are helping us take a step forward, without leaving our brothers and sisters behind.”

The generous contribution of over $10,000 made by the 22 partner organisations will aid Support Act and its crisis relief program, which bring much-needed support to those in the music industry who have lost work, gigs and their livelihoods due to the ongoing lockdowns and restrictions. Support Act will also expand its COVID-19 Crisis Relief Grants to include live performing arts workers from Monday 23 August, namely those working in theatre, dance and circus.

Clive Miller, CEO of Support Act explains, “It’s a difficult time for everyone working in the creative sector at the moment and particularly those working in live performance. What’s clear is that the impacts of the Delta variant are going to be felt for quite some months and the support from Rock Posters and the sponsors will help to ensure that more people are able to access our crisis relief and mental health and wellbeing services.”

Rock Posters and Support Act wish to thank the Mighty V campaign supporters, so if you’ve got the choice, go out of your way to support them:
