Rocket Agency officially launches creative division, hires ex-Ogilvy and DDB talent to lead
Digital marketing agency Rocket Agency has officially launched its new creative division, designed to address the growing demand for integrated media and creative services.
Aimed to bridge the gap between media and creative, the strategic move hopes to transform the agency’s team of designers and writers into a true creative agency. The launch was driven by client demands that highlighted a significant disconnect between creative and digital marketing agencies.
As clients are increasingly seeking full-service solutions, Rocket Agency hopes to enhance its marketing efficiency and leverage existing connections.
“It’s a decision we’ve enthusiastically made given client demand and where we see the industry going,” said James Lawrence, co-founder of the agency.

The Rocket Agency team
“Companies are looking for a single source of accountability where there is an understanding of channels, what kind of creative works, and the ability to solve that problem without the challenge of managing and aligning multiple agencies.”
Rocket Agency has appointed ex-Ogilvy and DDB talent Samantha Dodson as its creative director, to lead the new division.
She will manage the agency’s team of creative experts across branding, advertising, web design and development, copywriting, and design services.
“Creative is proven to be the number one factor for campaign performance. Rocket breaks down the wall between creative and media by providing one source of accountability for your entire marketing campaign,” Dobson said.
“We’re so thrilled to bring world-class creative capabilities to Australian businesses.”
Since launch in 2017, Rocket Agency’s existing design team has created work for brands including Luna Park, Plus Fitness, Amazon and the University of Notre Dame. The new division is designed to elevate the team’s offering, ensuring clients receive cohesive and impactful solutions.
