Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney wins Carnival Cruise Lines from Arnold Furnace

Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney has been awarded the advertising business for Carnival Cruise Lines after a competitive pitch, taking on the account from Arnold Furnace.

Arnold Furnace has held the Carnival Cruise Lines business for a year, having been awarded the business after a global alignment last year. Havas network Arnold handles the business in other key markets, including the US.

The move to Saatchi’s comes before Carnival Cruise Lines prepares to launch its first ship into the Australian market.

Saatchi’s boss Michael Rebelo said: “We have three criteria when we look for new clients to work with, fun, fame and future. Carnival Cruise Lines ticks all three in spades. The team can’t wait to get stuck in and make Carnival famous in Australia.”

Damon Stapleton, ECD of Saatchi & Saatchi added: “This really builds momentum for Saatchi and Saatchi and we look forward to doing great work with the team at Carnival.”

The pitch process was handled by TrinityP3.

The win is another feather in the cap of new boss Michael Rebelo, who is eight months into his role as chief executive. Saatchi’s picked up Big W in February.
