Samsonite Australia appoints Alt/Shift as PR agency of record

Alt/Shift has won the public relations account for luggage company Samsonite Australia, following a pitch process.

As part of being Samsonite Australia’s PR agency of record Alt/Shift will be tasked with working across its four brands within the portfolio which includes Samsonite Red, American Tourister, High Sierra and Lipault.

Services Alt/Shift will provide for Samsonite include media relations, influencer engagement, corporate affairs and social media.

Dara Tang, Samsonite Australia’s national marketing manager, said in a statement: “We were impressed by Alt/Shift’s enthusiasm and creativity and feel confident this working partnership will enable us to amplify our 2018 activity to its full potential.

“This will be a huge year for us, Samsonite is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its Cosmolite case and American Tourister has secured one of the biggest sports stars in the world, Cristiano
Ronaldo, as a global ambassador.”

Elly Hewitt, managing director at Alt/Shift, added: “We’re excited by what our collective minds can deliver and are thrilled to be on board. We believe our experience in lifestyle, retail and tourism partnered with strategic capabilities will bring great value to Samsonite Australia.”

In July last year, Alt/Shift launched an events and activation agency Light Year Productions, which will also be working with Samsonite.
