(This was the only criticism I could put into words. The rest came out as a sort of scalded, anguished howl. I’ll put it up on Youtube shortly. It’s sure to go viral.

Idea Engineer!? Really? Position your advertising agency as a factory for ‘out of the box’ ideas. WOW Thats never been done before.
Oh-dear! engineers more like it. The entire communication talks about how they’re ideas people but doesn’t have a single idea, either conceptual or visual, in it. “Lets make a rock video” was an idea in the 80’s. Now it’s just sad. Whats the bet the guy who does the guitar solo is the CD and had the idea.

Lord that’s just embarassing – might be OK as an internal agency video for some crazed company spirit type meetings, but oh Lord should never see the light of day outside the agency.
I now have the impression the agency is self-indulgent and wanky – not a good image for potential clients
Just to confirm, This Came from the Sapient Mumbai office Not SapientNitro UK. If you check their response they make this very clear, which makes you understand the video a bit more, as if you have ever had any dealings with Indian offices their culture is a lot less cynical that western and American Culture, and dare i say it Australian.
Agreed though it wasn’t handled the best way.
