Saunders & Co Public Relations has been appointed by orthodontics firm Invisalign Australia to handle its PR in Australia.
The announcement:
Invisalign Australia, pioneers of the invisible-orthodontics market has today announced the appointment of Saunders & Co Public Relations as its new PR agency in Australia. This follows the announcement last month that Razor and US Sydney, part of the Razor Group will handle all integrated media and creative requirements for the brand moving forward. Armed with these new media and communication teams and their forward thinking strategies, Invisalign is set to transform the face of the orthodontics market in Australia.
The Saunders and Co appointment is effective immediately as of 1st May 2011.
Developed with orthodontists and used in dental practices around the world, Invisalign is the fastest growing orthodontic company in Australia, recognised worldwide for its modern approach to straightening teeth via a series of clear, removable, custom made aligners.
“Australians are starting to recognise that Invisalign is the modern, hygienic way to straighten teeth that makes metal brackets and wires a thing of the past. Invisalign makes teeth straightening far more appealing to a new demographic of people who are self-conscious about their teeth, but would never consider traditional braces – these are the people we want to talk to,” said Louise Cummins, Head of Marketing at Invisalign Australia.
“The market is growing rapidly and we are confident Saunders & Co has the expertise to raise awareness of our brand outside the realm of dental and into the health and beauty industry. We’re thrilled to have them on board to complete our new marketing mix,” she added.
Invisalign has experienced phenomenal growth in the Australian market – with Invisalign case receipts up 48 per cent on the corresponding March quarter in 2010. Strong growth prospects have also resulted in a 28 per cent spike in internal staff headcount, in conjunction with the need for
additional agency support.Over 1.4 million patients have been treated with Invisalign, which boasts a 96 per cent patient satisfaction rating*. Recent developments have expanded the clinical scope of Invisalign treatment, meaning the Invisalign system can now be used to treat even complex orthodontic issues; from overly crowded teeth and underbites, to jaw problems and tooth alignment issues.
Invisalign® was launched in Australia in February 2002 and there are already over 1100 orthodontists and dentists accredited and trained to use Invisalign in Australia and New Zealand.
