Seven wins the week, while Nine’s The Voice is the most watched non-news program

TheVoiceAuThe Seven Network has won the week, for a second week in a row. with 19.2% share on its main channel compared with 18.5% for Nine.

According to Oztam preliminary numbers, Seven last week retook the lead from Nine which had won the previous fortnight on the back of the strength of The Voice.

It also came despite the poor performance of some other shows including its new romantic reality show Kiss Bang Love. 

Network Ten audience was also steady on the back of the performance of cooking franchise Masterchef with a 15.1% share while the ABC’s main channel had 12.4%.

The Voice’s Sunday and Monday performances were the most watch non-news programs of the week pulling 1.239m and 1.182m respectively, followed by Masterchef on Thursday which pulled 1.11m.

Seven’s best performing non-news show of the week was House Rules whole house reveal which drew 1.03m.

Friday night saw Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens take out the most watched non-news show of the night with 726,000 metro viewers.

The AFL match between the Sydney Swan and North Melbourne Kangaroos drew 525,000 in Melbourne and Adelaide on Seven while the NRL match between the Brisbane Broncos and West Tigers drew 452,000 on Nine in Sydney and Brisbane.

Saturday night in the AFL saw the Brisbane Lions and Hawthorn go head to head with 480,000 viewers on Seven in Melbourne and Adelaide.
