Seven’s Dance Boss falls below 500,000 viewers

Seven’s new entertainment dance program Dance Boss has shed 118,000 viewers since it launched last Tuesday night.

Last night’s episode saw 481,000 metro viewers tune in compared to last week’s 599,000, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Airing at 7.30pm, Dance Boss was the 17th most watched program for the evening and was competing against Nine’s The Block and Ten’s Australian Survivor.

Nine’s The Block was the most watched non-news program and saw 918,000 metro viewers tune in, while Seven’s Australian Survivor managed a metro audience of 634,000.

The Block was the most watched program across key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Meanwhile at 8.40pm, Nine’s True Story with Hamish & Andy attracted 634,000 metro viewers.

With the help of The Block and True Story with Hamish & Andy, Nine won the night with an overall audience share of 20.1% beating Seven’s 17.2%, Ten and ABC’s 12.1% and SBS’ 6.8% share.

9GO! Also managed to have the highest multichannel share with 5%.

In the news battle for the evening Seven News at 6pm won the night with 1.017m metro viewers tuning in ahead of Nine News’ 930,000.
