Seven’s House Rules and Purplebricks to auction off renovated property

Seven’s home renovation series, House Rules, is set to auction off the renovated house once the contestants have finished refurbishing the property.

Now in its sixth season, House Rules premieres tomorrow night as six couples renovate the property in seven days while guided by five house rules.

Purplebricks will auction off the completed house

In partnership with Purplebricks, the pair who have the highest scores will win the competition with the profits from the house becoming the prize money for the winners.

Purplebricks have already evaluated the property prior to the renovations.

Previously on House Rules six state-based couples have renovated each other’s homes with the pair with the highest score taking home the prize.

“Local Purplebricks agents assess the property pre and post renovation and the increase in value on every home this season has been phenomenal,” Lauren Rudd, executive producer on House Rules, said in a statement.

Matt Siddons, chief marketing officer at Purplebricks, said: “House Rules is the perfect platform for Purplebricks to showcase the personal service of our agents and the sales results they achieve. All for a fair, fixed fee.”

Angela Rapley, director of content at PHD, added: “House Rules is a great sponsorship fit for our client Purplebricks, and it’s been a fantastic vehicle for the brand to demonstrate their unique offering in the Aussie property market.”

Season five of House Rules premiered with 1.49m metro viewers.
