Soup makes two new hires

Tracey Petty and Angharad Moir have been appointed to senior roles at word-of-mouth agency Soup.

The announcement:

Following its busiest start to the year on record, leading word-of-mouth (WOM) agency Soup has made some major new appointments to its team.

Tracey Petty has joined the conversations management team from US-based agency Ammo Marketing. Petty ran one of the US’s largest brand ambassador campaigns for Accelerade and a trade influencer campaign for Chambord among others.

“It’s exciting to hire one of the best and most experienced people in the word-of-mouth industry who shares the same passion and values as we do at Soup,” Soup CEO Sharyn Smith said.

“Tracey can also provide insights on world best-practice examples to help develop our business model and the broader industry in Australia.”

Angharad Moir has also started work with Soup as a new member of the research and insights team. Moir previously worked in the research department of independent consumer organisation Choice.

“Ange has great quantitative research experience and is a terrific fit because, like Choice, our business is about consumers having a voice and being empowered,” Smith said.

Moir’s appointment is demonstrative of Soup’s continued investment in, and commitment to, leadership in the WOM industry.

Soup’s committment to research and metrics in WOM is further illustrated by its landmark research project on word-of-mouth marketing in Australia. The project is a collaboration with US-based WOM measurement leaders Keller Fay and is the first research ever conducted on WOM in Australia. The report will be released next month.
