Space first
Not too long ago, Dr Mumbo was less than bowled over by an agency claiming that it was the first to do something. Not in the world, mind. Not in Australia, but in Queensland.
But here’s something really worth bragging about… a space first.
A company in America called Blue Marble has launched a service that allows businesses to turn their roofs into billboards by putting a QR Codes on top of them.
The codes can be read from space by satellites, so mobile users can access digital coupons and other marketing content when they come across a business on Google Earth or Google Maps.
Hat-tip: BCM’s newsletter, What Next?
Heh thats cool- but honestly, i messed around with google earth when it came out, but who can honestly say they have looked at it in the last year and a half?
