Spikes triumphs for Australian and NZ agencies
The top three agencies in Asia Pacific are all in Australia and New Zealand, according to The Spikes Awards.
Last night saw the results of the first Spikes Asia since Australia and New Zealand became eligible to enter.
Bsed on the trophies won, the top three agencies were:
- DDB NEW ZEALAND, Auckland
- CLEMENGER BBDO, Melbourne
- COLENSO BBDO, Auckland
Colenso BBDO was also named as the Spikes media agency of the year.
Spikes is a joint venture between Haymarket Media and the Cannes Lions.
In other categories, the cinema grand prix was won by Clemenger BBDO for its Carlton Draught slo mo Made From Beer ad.
A beach stunt to promote The Pacific on TVNZ involving an aerial dogfight won Colenso BBDO the outdoor grand prix. Colenso also won the media grand prix for Yellow Pages work.
Leo Burnett Sydney won the direct grand prix for its Canon EOS Photochains project.
And Leo Burnett Sydney also won the craft category for its WWF work featuring Ben Lee.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne won the radio grand prix for Chum dog food.

They now make double the money from the one ad.
