St.George Banking Group announce Saatchi & Saatchi as creative agency
Saatchi & Saatchi has been named the lead creative agency for St George Banking Group brands including Bank of Melbourne and BankSA.
The move follows on from Saatchi & Saatchi winning the Bank of Melbourne account from Ogilvy at the end of last month.
Saatchi already held the St George account and the decision to shift BankSA to the agency was made without a pitch.
The announcement:
Saatchi & Saatchi has been appointed creative agency for St.George Banking Group brands including Bank of Melbourne and BankSA.
Following the success of Saatchi & Saatchi’s work with St.George, the agency’s role has been extended to lead creative agency for Bank of Melbourne and BankSA brands.
St.George Banking Group’s GM for Marketing & Customer Experience, Martine Jager said that Saatchi & Saatchi’s creative ideas for these brands were exceptional, innovative and customer focused.
“It was a tough decision with so many creative agencies producing outstanding work for our brands over a number of years – but we are very excited to move our South Australian and Victorian brands to their next phase with Saatchi & Saatchi.”
In 2013 Saatchi & Saatchi was appointed to St.George and helped the bank launch its successful ‘start something’ campaign, designed to encourage people to start something for themselves.
“I’m confident that Saatchi’s creative thinking will help us to clearly differentiate ourselves in the market. We are a group of brands that truly want to help people, whether that’s helping them into homes or helping businesses to start, prosper and grow. Saatchi & Saatchi have truly demonstrated how to capture the true essence of this.”
Saatchi & Saatchi Chief Executive Michael Rebelo said: “It is a great privilege to be expanding our St.George partnership with these iconic South Australian and Victorian brands. Exciting times ahead.”
Lavender still remains the below the line creative agency for the group’s brands and AJF remains the creative agency for RAMS.
