Step Change appoints Glenn Bartlett to strategy role

Marketing agency Step Change has hired Glenn Bartlett as its strategy director.

The announcement:

Former Coca-Cola marketer Glenn Bartlett has joined Step Change Marketing as the three-year-old consultancy readies for its next phase of growth.

Bartlett has 15 years experience working both agency and client-side and joins the Sydney-based independent as Strategy Director.

Step Change Marketing specialises in strategic planning and has worked with companies including News Limited, Sony & Universal Home Pictures, ANZ, and Australian Pork.

Glenn’s proven track record on agency and client side for top tier brands compliments and bolsters Step Change’s two core offerings in brand planning and marketing planning.

Bartlett said: “Marketing is undergoing significant change as technology shifts the relationship between brands and consumers and how they interact. Step Change Marketing is about providing smart strategy to address these challenges and I’m looking forward to working with our blue-chip clients to help them navigatethis changing environment.”

While at Coca-Cola Bartlett was responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy for the Pump water brand and Mother energy drink. Prior to that he was a seniorstrategy planner at Publicis Mojo and worked in corporate marketing at NAB.Before returning to Australia in 2008 he worked in the UK in marketing roles with Nestlé and Unilever and as a strategic planner at AMV BBDO in London. He has also been a board member of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership.

The NewZealander has a special interest in how brands with true purpose and sustainable principals at their core drive long-term competitive advantage.
