Survivor shines with season high 592k as two-time Olympian wins Heroes vs Villains

Married at First Sight (MAFS) has again topped entertainment programming, shooting Nine to the top of overall share, while Australian Survivor also delivered a season-high as it crowned its winner.

The episode, which saw contestants makes their final vows, brought in 909,000 metro viewers and topped all three key advertising demographics for Nine. The series still has two reunion episodes to come, which are expected to air on Sunday and Monday of next week.

The grand finale of Ten’s Australian Survivor made a strong effort to compete alongside MAFS, bringing in an average of 592,000 metro viewers overnight, reaching 650,000 as two-time Olympian, Liz Parnov was crowned sole survivor.

The series wrap-up comes in the same week as Seven’s resurrection of the Australian Idol format came to an end, with both shows having struggled to compete with the drama-filled MAFS season.

Next in entertainment for Monday night was Seven’s Home and Away, with 512,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s The Chase Australia on 510,00 and ABC’s Australian story with 492,000 metro viewers.

ABC’s Media Watch saw 490,000 metro viewers tune in, while RPA on Nine had 419,000 and Nine’s Hotseat had 355,000.

The #1 news program on Monday night was Seven News at 6:30 with 952,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 939,000, Nine News at 6:30 with 796,000 and Nine News with 776,000.

The top network was Nine with a 32.0% share, followed by Seven with 24.4%, Ten with 18.9% and ABC with 17.8%.

Nine was the top-rated primary channel with a 25.9% share, while the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with a 3.6% share.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 20 March, MAFS on Nine last Monday was the #1 program nationally with 1.82 million Total TV viewers, including 549,000 on BVOD and the biggest uplift of 57%.
