Swisse appoints new director of growth and brand

Former Coles Liquor, Dan Murphy’s, and Crown Resorts marketer Yolanda Uys has joined H&H Group’s Swisse as its new director of growth and brand.

Across Australia and New Zealand, she will lead the marketing team in an expanded portfolio, also overseeing project management and government to “unlock stronger synergies”.

Her appointment comes following the departure of marketing director Kerrie Wade in February to join Remedy Drinks as its new chief marketing officer. Swisse’s head of comms and PR Stephanie Taylor had been acting in the role for the past six months.

Uys has over 25 years of experience leading brands across retail, consumer goods, and hospitality, both in Australia and globally.

She was most recently group executive general manager of brand and marketing at Crown Resorts across Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. Uys spent nearly two years in the role, overseeing brand strategy and positioning, media buying and planning, customer experience, in-house creative, and more.

Prior to that, she held various senior marketing roles at Reece Group, Coles Liquor, Dan Murphy’s, PZ Cussons, Cadbury, and Stella Artois.

Uys said in a media release announcing her appointment: “I’m excited to have joined the Swisse family. At the heart of the role is being truly consumer centric, while driving innovation that brings breakthrough products to market.

“Swisse has an incredible opportunity to impact the lives of Australians by living healthier and happier, and I’m excited to be part of the journey.”

Nick Mann, H&H Group’s global group co-CEO and regional CEO, Asia and ANZ, described Uys’ appointment as “pivotal”.

“Her proven ability to unite teams, deliver growth across diverse sectors and navigate complex markets will strengthen our leadership team and sharpen our focus on the future,” he said in the release.

“At Swisse, our people are the driving force behind our success, and Yolanda’s appointment reflects our commitment to bringing in exceptional, consumer obsessed talent to help us achieve the next phase of our journey.”
