Taco Bell expands ‘Feed The Beat’ program to Australia

After its success in the US and UK, Taco Bell has brought its ‘Feed The Beat’ program down under – spotlighting emerging talent in the music scene.

Arriving in Australia, the brand has been backing local up-and-coming artists and bands, continuing its commitment to evolving and providing support to musical talent around the world.

At its core, the program helps connect bands with Taco Bell fans, expanding their audiences for a mutually beneficial relationship.

Among the Aussie artists the brand is supporting is pop-punk band, Stand Atlantic. Taco Bell has provided the group with gift cards during its US tour, and will continue to support it locally with the launch.

“We’re stoked to be part of Taco Bell’s Feed The Beat program – having their support means the world to us, and we’re grateful for the endless supply of tasty tacos and Crunchwraps fueling us on tour,” said Miki Rich, Stand Atlantic band member.

Besides picking up the taco tab for artists while they’re on tour, Taco Bell also gives artists the chance to have their music featured in its commercials and provides amplification through its social presence.

The program launched in the US in 2006, and debuted in the UK earlier this year. The program has backed over 2,000 artists and bands, including the likes of Portugal. The Man, Halsey, Imagine Dragons, White Reaper, and more recently Turnstile, Militarie Gun, Meet Me @ The Altar, Armani White, Teezo Touchdown, Scowl, and many others.

Alongside Stand Atlantic, the inaugural group of Feed The Beat Australia includes Sydney-based hardcore punk group Speed, indie-pop singer Tiffi, and Melbourne-based trio Blusher.

“We are incredibly proud to bring Taco Bell’s Feed The Beat program here and support the vibrant local music scene,” said Andrew Howie, chief marketing officer of Taco Bell Australia.

“Australia is home to some of the most innovative and exciting emerging artists, and we’re thrilled to play a part in amplifying their music, both here and on a global stage.”
