The former chief revenue officer at Seven West Media Dave Boorman has re-emerged in the same role at the Ten Network.

Boorman quit Seven in January after just 18-months in the role, and he replaces Paul Anderson at Ten who stepped up to CEO after Hamish McLennan resigned in June.

On Monday Ten announced a loss of $312m for the last financial year on the back of a series of write downs, but improved underlying revenues. The company is also in the midst of a tie-up with Foxtel.

Anderson said in a statement: “I’m very pleased that Dave has agreed to join Ten. He is an outstanding executive and leader, highly respected by his peers, and has held senior roles at some of Australia’s largest media and telecommunications companies.

“Dave will bring a wide range of skills to Ten, covering key areas such as strategy, corporate finance, business management, people development and investor relations. His experience, talent, energy and enthusiasm will be a valuable asset to Ten.”

Prior to Seven Boorman was chief financial officer at Vodafone Hutchison Australia and chief financial officer and strategy director at Vodafone Australia.

Boorman said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at TEN at such an exciting time for the company.

“The business is gathering momentum and that, coupled with the new strategic arrangements with Foxtel and Multi Channel Network, provide a tremendous new base from which to grow.”
