Ten throws Bingle into Tuesdays ‘thanks to ad support’

Ten has shifted strategy on its reality TV show Being Lara Bingle, moving it into the high risk slot of Tuesdays at 8pm from the less competitive programming night of Thursdays.

The move shifts the premier of the show – following the model’s “real” adventures living in a Bondi penthouse reportedly rented for her by the production company making the show.

Reporting on the programming move is mixed. While TV Tonight suggests the show has been “bumped” before it has started, today’s Daily Telegraph quotes Ten insiders as saying the move is “thanks to very encouraging advertising support“.

Elsewhere in the Tele today, a review of the first episode of the show describes it as “decent”.

Ten is currently following some way behind Seven and Nine on audience share, although its performance has improved somewhat since MasterChef came back on air
