Ten slips in Sunday night ratings
Ten’s Sunday night viewing is losing traction across all people in the ratings, according to preliminary reports from OzTam.
The network’s strongest night of the week saw all its primetime shows drop on last week, with all shows placing third behind Seven and Nine’s news programs as well as Seven’s Sunday Night, Border Security and The Force and Nine’s broadcast of the cricket.
Ten’s Modern Family at 8pm was the network’s strongest performer and highest rating show, taking 1.079m. It was just down on last week’s performance of 1.081m. Despite the slight viewer number drop, the show jumped from eighth to seventh spot.
The network’s new comedy New Girl, at 7:30pm, rated 1.075m, down on last week’s 1.137m.
Does anyone really care about total people numbers? I buy against women 25-54 and Channel Ten still had the top three programs. Unless you buy Total people these numbers don’t mean much
As long as Ch 10 allows airheads to vilify Australia’s most decorated soldier, then I refuse to have anything to do with the channel. I am not alone, but I am probably not part of these surveys.
‘Does anyone really care about total people numbers?”
I do. I enjoy them consistently dropping year after year. Australia’s TV networks are embarrassing.
