The Chase Australia tops entertainment as Seven takes Thursday

Seven’s The Chase Australia won entertainment on Thursday, as the network also celebrated an overall network share win.

The episode aired to 535,000 people in all five major capital cities, followed by MasterChef on Ten which had 482,000 metro viewers, while Nine’s Hot Seat had 442,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 30 June, Seven News topped the list with 1.432 million Total TV viewers, including 35,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. The program with the highest uplift was D.I Ray on SBS, with an uplift of 180%, viewed by a total of 445,000 national viewers, and 118,000 on BVOD.

Thursday night’s live AFL game on Seven brought in 437,000 metro viewers for the network.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 867,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine News with 855,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 was next with 821,000 metro viewers, then Seven News 6:30 with 818,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 592,000 metro viewers and Nine’s A Current Affair had 634,000 metro viewers. ABC’s 7:30 followed with 502,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Seven won the overall share for the evening with 30.4%, followed closely by Nine with 26.4%. Next was Ten, with 17.2% of the total share, with ABC on 16.3%.
