The Chase Australia tops Thursday entertainment; Nine takes the night

The Chase Australia topped entertainment on Thursday night, but it was Seven News and Thursday night NRL that topped all three key advertising demographics.

The game show on Seven aired to 501,000 metro viewers, followed by the network’s Home and Away with 444,000 metro viewers.

Thursday night NRL on Nine aired to 421,000 metro viewers, while a late viewing of Home and Away on Seven brought in 368,000 metro viewers.

Ten’s The Dog House Australia brought in 362,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine’s Hot Seat with 355,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Nine Network came out on top with a 30% share last night, closely followed by Seven with by 29.3%, followed by Ten with 16.2% and ABC with 14.4%.

The top-rated primary channel was Nine with 21.6%, but the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with 4.1%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV report for 5 May, Seven News was the #1 program with 1.417 million metro viewers with a 3% uplift, and 42,000 on national BVOD.

The program with the biggest uplift of 28% was an episode of Home and Away late with 787,000 Total TV viewers and 123,000 on national BVOD.
