Humphries first started at the agency in 2012 as senior art director, moving into her most recent role as creative director in 2017.

Prior to her time at The Monkeys, Humphries has worked for Wieden and Kennedy London and Publicis Mojo Melbourne.

Her work has also been recognized globally by D and AD, Cannes, Clio Awards, One Show, Webby Awards, New York Festivals, AWARD Awards and The Effies.

The Monkeys co-founder & group chief creative officer, Scott Nowell, said: “Barb is a wonderful person and an irresistible creative force. She’s already had a huge part in shaping the output of The Monkeys and will be an even bigger part of it in the future. This is a proud moment for her and for us.”

The Monkeys chief creative officer, Tara Ford, added: “Barb cares deeply about the work and always gives it her all. She’s a natural mentor and inspires those around her to be better and to push themselves. She’s going to be spectacular in this role.”

Commenting on her new role, Humphries said: “To have the opportunity to continue to work with people I love, creating meaningful and memorable work for some of Australia’s leading brands, alongside some of the most talented, smart and humble leaders in the industry, is a real privilege.

“I’m looking forward to helping Tara and Scott grow the creative standard of the agency into the future.”
