Tourism NZ appoints Hill & Knowlton in lead up to Rugby World Cup

Tourism New Zealand has appointed Hill & Knowlton to handle its PR account in Australia as the tourism body gears up to boost marketing activity in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup.

The agency will work on the tourism body’s ongoing 100% Pure New Zealand marketing campaign which has been running for the past 10 years.

Barry Eddington, Tourism NZ regional manager, Australia, said: “The team at H&K completely understood our brand and provided us with excellent strategic and creative thinking that will really help us take our public relations, experiential and social media initiatives to the next level.”

Hill & Knowlton was awarded the account in a pitch between five undisclosed agencies. The account was previously handled by Burson-Marsteller.
