Y&R Brisbane appoints Glynn Honey as managing partner

Y&R Brisbane has appointed Glynn Honey as managing partner.

According to a release on Y&R’s website, Honey will work alongside current general manager, Fiona Caird.

Honey joins Y&R after two years as managing director of Maxus Malaysia, where was was responsible for advancing the digital and strategic offering.

Prior to that, Honey worked as managing director of M&C Saatchi for two years.

In his time working with agencies, Honey has worked across clients including Google, Optus, Commonwealth Bank and Red Bull.

Phil McDonald, Y&R Australia New Zealand CEO said Honey had “an impressive blend of skills”.

“He has extensive experience in customer engagement, data analytics, and media and brand strategy. Exactly what our clients require more of in today’s landscape,” McDonald said.

“With Glynn joining Fiona and ECDs, Andrew Thompson and Brendan Greaney, we have a formidable leadership team that will continue to deliver the best thinking in the market to our clients.”

Commenting on his new appointment, Honey said the “vision, creativity, quality of thinking and authenticity” were reasons for joining the agency.

“I can’t wait to start work with the team and hopefully add an extra element that both adds value for our clients, and keeps Y&R in its position at the top of the pile,” Honey said.

Y&R’s clients include the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, the Australian Road Safety Foundation and QSuper.
