344,000 metro viewers tune in for Ten’s Part Time Private Eyes

The second show in Ten’s Pilot Week 2019 line-up has hit screens, with 344,000 metro viewers watching scripted comedy Part Time Private Eyes on Tuesday night. The program comes after Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians aired on Sunday night to 175,000 metro viewers.

Part Time Private Eyes had a strong lead in, with Australian Survivor delivering Ten 809,000 metro viewers. Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians on Sunday night, however, had just 249,000 metro viewers watching the previous program, Ambulance Australia.

Last night, Seven’s The Proposal dropped to 252,000 metro viewers for its third week after a premiere of 307,000. It was beaten in the 8:30pm slot by ABC’s Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds which saw 657,000 metro viewers tune in – also beating Nine’s Seachange with 550,000 metro viewers.

Seven faired slightly better at 7:30pm – 421,000 metro viewers watched Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly, compared to 503,000 for ABC’s 7.30. Nine won the slot though with 968,000 metro viewers for The Block – a Tuesday night high. The Block also topped the two older key advertising demographics (18-49s and 25-54s), while Australian Survivor took the top spot in the youngest demo (16-39s).

The most-watched program overall was again Seven News, bringing in 1.047m viewers, compared to 981,000 for Nine News.

Nine took the win with metro audiences in the 25-54 key advertising demographic, holding a 23.5% share, above Ten’s 17.0% and Seven’s 13.5%. The channel also won overall with metro audiences 16-39, holding a 24.5% share above Ten’s 18.8% and Seven’s 12.4%.

It was also Nine’s night overall – the channel held a 22.7% audience share, compared to 15.5% for Seven, 13.5% for ABC and 12.5% for Ten. In the network audience shares, the hierarchy was similar, with a win going to Nine on 30.9%, followed by Seven’s 25.5%, Ten’s 18.8% and ABC’s 17.6%.
