60 Minutes wins Sunday night, X Factor wins the week

The X Factor was placed one and two in the ratings race last week.

Tuesday’s showing of The X Factor received 1.51m viewers to announce the finalists, who will compete tonight. Monday’s performance show was second with 1.418m viewers.

In Sunday’s overnight ratings from OzTam, Nine won with 60 Minutes, with 1.328m viewers.

Like last week, news-based programs were preferred to entertainment shows. The only programs to eclipse 1m viewers were news and current affairs.

Seven’s Sunday Night was second on 1.22m. Seven News Sunday was third with 1.176m and Nine’s Frozen Planet fourth on 1.029m.

Seven’s Wild Boys was the highest rating drama in fifth place with 860,000 viewers.
