Adnews’ Lindsay Bennett joins DDB as corporate comms manager
DDB Australia has appointed Adnews’ digital editor Lindsay Bennett as its corporate communications manager.
In her new role, Bennett will be responsible for the group’s PR and marketing activities. She will work alongside DDB’s senior leadership team and report to DDB CEO Andrew Little.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Lindsay to the DDB group in Australia. With extensive industry knowledge, we are excited to have someone of her calibre in the group and to leverage her capability in the category,” said Little.
Prior to Adnews, where she has been for the past three years, Bennett interned at Pacific Magazines and Mamamia.
“It’s a difficult decision to leave Adnews and I’m grateful for all the opportunities I’ve been given,” said Bennett. “After three years, it’s time to take on a new challenge. I’m looking forward to using my journalistic background to communicate DDB’s values, vision and purpose to stakeholders.”
Adnews editor Pippa Chambers added: “Lindsay has been a great asset to Adnews and played a key role in helping grow our offering. Her enthusiasm and passion for the sector will be greatly missed. We wish her the best of luck in her new role.”
The appointment follows the hiring of chief strategy officer Carl Ratcliff in September last year, along with managing director Priya Patel.
Bennett will commence her new role on January 29 2019.
From the below link maybe she started in December 2018.

Given recruitment timelines etc you’d have to say she was at least interested in the role at the time she wrote that – AdNews has always peddled in non-critical agency sunshine pieces but far out that is particularly nauseous.
