Amplifi’s Joshua Lee joins Zenith Melbourne as head of digital

Joshua Lee, Amplifi’s former group investment director, has joined Zenith Melbourne as head of digital.

Lee will replace Kevin Alphonso who is “looking for new opportunities”, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Lee joined Dentsu Aegis Network as head of digital, Melbourne in 2013 after two years as a digital media manager at Havas. He spent time in Canada as director of client services for Amnet, and then senior director of digital investments and programmatic, and head of digital at Amplifi, before heading back to Australia in January.

He then took on the group investment director for Amplifi role.

The Melbourne appointment follows Mark Johnson moving to Sydney to head Zenith’s digital operations after the resignation of chief digital officer Geraldine McDonagh in June.

Zenith Australia CEO, Nickie Scriven, said Lee will bring valuable experience to Zenith.

“Josh has built an impressive career and brings not only excellent digital skills to Zenith, but also broader client relationship experience which will be valuable as we help deliver ROI and marketing-led growth for our clients. In Melbourne, Lee will lead our digital team, product and processes to help further refine our digital proposition.”

Commenting on his appointment, Lee said: “Zenith presents an exciting opportunity for me to further build its digital offering for clients as they navigate an increasingly complex media landscape and customer journey. I look forward to working with the Zenith team to deliver results for our clients.”

Denstu Aegis Network has been approached for comment.
