Anthony Bartram joins Dentsu as general manager of investment
Dentsu has selected former ARN head of partnerships, Anthony Bartram, as the group’s new general manger of investment.
Bartram will work across the Carat, iPropsect and Dentsu X brands, joining recently appointed chief investment officer Ben Shepherd at the Dentsu media arm.
Mumbrella understands Bartram departed ARN in September to commence a role at JCDecaux, spending just over four months at the out-of-home corporation before taking on the new role at Dentsu.
He had joined JCDecaux as group product director before realising his true passion lay in commercial trading, and beginning to look or roles elsewhere.
The remit of Bartram’s previous role as head of partnerships at ARN has since been absorbed into the network’s commercial leadership team, under national agency sales director, Angus Leech.
Danny Bass, CEO media, Dentsu ANZ, said: “Anthony is a strong hire and rounds out our investment capabilities with a focus on working with our media partners. With Ben Shepherd now in place and Mel McDonald promoted to chief commercial officer, Dentsu is ready to move into the never before and deliver strong results for our clients.”
Bartram added: “2023 is shaping up to be a year of equal part challenge and opportunity given well documented macro-economic headwinds, the lingering effects of the pandemic and evolving patterns of media consumption. The opportunity to join Dentsu as Danny and the team look to create the media agency of tomorrow whilst shaping best-in-class investment solutions for our client base was too good to turn down and I look forward to joining the team at the end of January.”
Bartram’s appointment is effective as of January 23.
