ARIA Chart: NSYNC is back in the singles charts, and Amy Shark nets another #1

Amy Shark has scored another #1 album, making it three Aussie chart-toppers in three straight weeks – while Deadpool & Wolverine has dragged an old NSYNC hit back into the Top 20.

Shark’s fourth album, Sunday Sadness, debuted at #1 this week; the Queensland artist’s third-straight top debut.

Fellow Australian act Grinspoon debuted at #3 with their eighth studio album — and first in 12 years — Whatever, Whatever. Between the locals sits Billie Eilish, remaining at #2 with Hit Me Hard And Soft – which saw its first chart-topping single this week, after 13 weeks in the charts.

English singer songwriter Beabadoobee debuted at #6 with her third studio album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, while Australia’s most prolific band, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, saw their 26th studio album (you read that correctly), Flight B741, land at #8 in its first week.

More Aussie success: 3%’s debut album Kill The Dead entered at #12, making this a stellar week all around for Australian artists.

Over on the Singles chart, Eilish’s Birds Of A Feather has finally reached #1 after being blocked by Olivia and Taylor and Post and Shaboozey and Charli for weeks and weeks. Well done, Billie!

Technically, she’s knocked herself off the top spot, too, given she features on last week’s #1, Guess by Charli XCX, which has fallen to #3 in its second week – while A Bar Song has crept back up to #2.

But the biggest entry in the Top 20 belongs to NSYNC, whose 2000 hit Bye Bye Bye is back back back, thanks to a placement in the Deadpool & Wolverine film.

Maybe this will convince Timberlake to get the ol’ band back together again.
