Attention+Influence’s Simone Pipkorn joins Haystac as MD

Dentsu Aegis Network’s PR arm Haystac has recruited Simone Pipkorn as its managing director.

Pipkorn joins the agency from CHE Proximity’s PR division Attention+Influence, where she was a managing partner of PR, social, content and influencer.

Pipkorn will oversee Haystac’s Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane office

The appointment comes three months after Haystac restructured its national leadership team and appointed Haylie Marchant to national head of strategy, Kate Ward as Brisbane GM and Nicole Hamilton as GM of Haystac Melbourne.

Pipkorn is indirectly replacing Jason Carnew, who departed Haystac as its national general manager in September last year.

Carnew is now Fuel Communications’ managing director.

In her new role, Pipkorn will oversee the Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane offices.

“I am excited to be joining such a well-respected agency, and one that is doing great work for great clients by pushing the boundaries of our craft. I look forward to working with the incredible leaders in the Haystac senior leadership team to continue the agency’s upwards trajectory,” Pipkorn said in a statement.

Tim Powell, managing director of BWM Dentsu PR Group, added: “Haystac is a big agency with offices across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane servicing major national brands, including Bunnings, Officeworks, BP and Nandos. In many ways, we have flown under the radar by being quiet achievers.

“Simone is a leader who will galvanise our national strength, raise the profile of the Haystac brand, and drive growth for Haystac and our clients.”
