Australia loses out on Mobile Lions at Cannes
Australia’s two shortlisted entries for Mobile Lions prizes in Cannes have missed out on the prize.
Havas Worldwide in North Sydney’s Durexperiment Fundawear for Reckitt Benckiser Durex was shortlisted with seven entries in the networked mobile technology category.
And DDB Sydney’s McDonald’s app Track my Macca’s was nominated for a prize in augmented mobile experience on a shortlist of five entries.
But neither converted the shortlisting to a Lion.
The Mobile Lions grand prix went to DDB DM9 Jaymesyfu Maktai City in The Philippines for a smartphone app that allows children to read and carry textbooks on mobile phones created for Smart Communications ‘Making textbooks light and easy for all’.
