CareerOne pays tribute to Beethoven in first work from Hardhat

Hardhat has released its first campaign for the job application site CareerOne.

The campaign features lyrics sung to the tune of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.

One of the 30-second spots sees a man waiting on a bus, who then gets a notification on his phone that a job match has been found. The man celebrates, only to be met with disapproving stares from the other bus passengers. Non-diagetic audio plays over the spot of people singing about CareerOne, to the tune of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.

Glenn Dalton, executive creative director at Hardhat, said: “More than a job listing site, we wanted to position CareerOne as a job-finding one. Simple, memorable and ownable, ‘CareerOne Job done’ celebrates that feeling of finding the right job.”

Garen Azoyan, executive chairman of CareerOne, added: ‘We’re excited to share a campaign that comes at a time where people feel like their job search efforts are being wasted, often sending dozens of resumes to receive no response. CareerOne is on a mission to help Australians find the perfect ‘right now’ job or dream career.”

The campaign is on TV, out-of-home, and radio.

Hardhat’s recent work includes campaigns for Superhero and Dare Iced Coffee.
