Digitas Australia appoints Rebecca Zemunik as MD

Connected marketing agency, Digitas Australia has announced the appointment of Rebecca Zemunik as managing director, who is set to begin the role in July.

Zemunik replaces current MD, Ian Gough who is set to return to the UK with his family.

Zemunik arrives from Publicis Sapient after four years with the digital business transformation firm. She was director of client services at SapientRazorfish when the brands were absorbed by Publicis Sapient, where she was then senior director for business development and alliances.  Zemunik’s move means she will be staying within Publicis Groupe.

Throughout her 20 year career in tech, consulting and telcos, Zemunik has worked at Accenture Interactive, Reactive Melbourne and Responsys, before joining SapientRazorfish in 2017.

Digitas’ accounts include Tourism Australia, which they won in 2018, and Jeep.

According to Publicis, a replacement for Zemunik is to be announced in due course.
