Ferrero Rocher says it with gold in first local Christmas campaign in 30 years

Ferrero Rocher has launched its first local Christmas campaign in 30 years, revealing a new TVC which urges consumers to ‘Say it With Gold’.

The ad pushes the family credits of the festive season, showing several generations celebrating with Ferrero Rocher surprises.

ANZ brand head of Ferrero, Anita Hancock, said now is the time to focus on family.

“We all want more golden moments with friends and family, and even more so this year. Ferrero Rocher’s ‘Say It With Gold’ campaign invites all Australians and New Zealanders to give a golden gift to the special ones in our lives this Christmas.”

Playing on the idea of parents preparing a surprise for their children, the night before Christmas ritual, the TVC gives the parents the surprise in the golden Pyramid of Ferrero Rocher.

Created by Marcel Australia, the 30-second TVC will air in Australia and New Zealand and forms part of the Say it With Gold campaign platform which will also run across digital and social media channels.

Masterchef alum Jess Lemon will also take part in the campaign as the brand’s new ambassador. She will create Ferrero Rocher-inspired desserts for Christmas for the campaign, with Marcel associate creative director, Facundo Martinelli, saying the brand wants to bring the magic back to Christmas.

“Many of us can remember as kids waking up on Christmas morning with presents that have magically appeared overnight. We’re really proud to be able to tell the story of dedicated parents and to celebrate the people who make the magic come to life. They are the true heroes behind our childhood Christmas memories. This Rocher is for them,” said Martinelli.
